Gal is exploring the reproductive behavior of echinoderms in the coral reefs of Eilat. Broadcast spawning is one of the most common sexual reproduction modes of marine organisms and Echinoderms are excellent model organisms, so conclusions can be projected on a wide variety of crucial organisms to coral reefs.  Gal focuses on three hierarchical levels – from populations, through individuals, to cells (gametes). Her research includes observations in the field, behavioral examination and ecophysiological analyses.
